Monkey Sanctuary

Monkey sanctuary situated on the road to Kakum, run by a Dutchman and his Ghanaian assistan. The santuary include monkeys, tortoises, a couple of alligators. The monkeys are in cages most individually, because some were housed together and ended up fighting. They also can't be left to roam around loose because the locals hunt them for bushmeat. The croc and tortoise enclosures could be improved with some funding. The monkeys all have their own little personalities which is apparent. Would recommend you visit anytime you are in Ghana.
